This policy also applies to the nextero.ai website (the "Site"), to the extent we process data in connection with its use.
2. What data we collect
- Location (GPS) — purpose: displaying events near you; legal basis: user consent
- Device token (FCM) — purpose: sending push notifications about saved events; legal basis: user consent
- Analytics data (Firebase Analytics) — purpose: analyzing app usage, improving UX; legal basis: legitimate interest of the data controller
- Crash data (Firebase Crashlytics) — purpose: diagnostics and bug fixing; legal basis: legitimate interest of the data controller
- Advertising identifier — we do not currently collect the advertising identifier; we only display non-personalized/contextual ads (Google AdMob); legal basis: legitimate interest of the data controller
3. Data stored locally
On your device, we store:
- Your list of saved events
- Filter and category preferences
- Selected country
- Reminder settings
- This data is not transmitted to our servers.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your data. We use third-party services:
- Firebase (Google) — analytics, crash reporting, push notifications
- Google AdMob — displaying ads
- Geolocator — location data processed only on-device
- Google Analytics (Google) — website usage statistics
- Vercel — hosting and site performance monitoring (Speed Insights)
5. Retention period
- FCM token: until notifications are disabled or the app is uninstalled
- Analytics data: per Firebase's retention policy (default 14 months)
- Local data: until app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled
- Google Analytics cookies: up to 13 months from your last visit
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data
- Rectify your data
- Delete your data
- Withdraw consent (e.g. disable location or notifications in device settings)
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (UODO)
- Withdrawing or changing cookie consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the site footer
7. Security
Communication with our servers takes place over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Authorization tokens are stored securely.
8. Changes to this policy
We will announce significant changes via an app update. The current version is always available within the app.
9. Cookies (website)
When you use the nextero.ai website, we use the following cookies:
Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_<container-id> cookies) — purpose: website usage statistics and analysis; legal basis: your consent given via the cookie banner; retention: up to 13 months
Vercel Speed Insights — purpose: measuring site performance (Core Web Vitals); collected without cookies; legal basis: legitimate interest of the data controller
Google Analytics cookies are only set after you consent via the banner shown on your first visit. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the site footer.
